Merchant-of-Record Evidence

Effective date: November 1, 2026

Not a bank or EMI

Finoment LLC is a software development, fintech research, and consulting company. We do not hold customer funds, issue stored-value accounts, or provide banking, payment-institution, money-transmission, or electronic-money services.

This page exists so that payment processors, banking partners, auditors, and customers can verify how Finoment LLC operates. We keep the description here identical to the description we submit to our card acquirer and to our KYC/KYB reviewers.

1. Who Finoment is

  • Legal name: Finoment LLC
  • Entity type: Limited Liability Company (Wyoming, USA)
  • EIN: 98-1916471
  • Registered address: 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States
  • Sole member / beneficial owner: Ela Altan

Finoment LLC is a software development, fintech research, and consulting company. Finoment is not a bank, is not an electronic money institution (EMI), is not a payment institution, is not a money services business, and does not hold any regulated financial-services licence.

2. What Finoment sells — merchant-of-record scope

Every payment accepted by Finoment is a purchase of a Finoment-owned product. Finoment is the sole merchant of record for every transaction on this platform. The two product families are:

  • Software access & digital products — Finoment's own fintech tools and integrations (Fintem inbound gateway, Finomesh orchestration, ZODO, KYC/KYB tooling, finWORK). Delivered digitally on successful payment.
  • Consulting services — written Q&A responses and online consulting calls with Finoment personnel, billed at a fixed hourly rate.

Finoment does not:

  • hold customer funds in stored-value accounts, wallets, or ledger balances that customers can withdraw as cash;
  • issue payment accounts, cards, or IBANs;
  • process payments on behalf of unrelated third-party merchants;
  • act as a payment facilitator, payment aggregator, or marketplace for outside sellers;
  • transmit money between customers or from a customer to any third party.

The only receiver of every card charge is Finoment LLC. Funds settle to a Finoment-owned account with our payment processor and are then recognised as revenue of Finoment LLC.

3. How payments are processed

  • Card acquirer / payment processor: Stripe, Inc. Finoment integrates via signed API and does not touch raw card data — cardholder authentication happens directly with Stripe under PCI-DSS scope.
  • 3-D Secure is mandatory on every card charge. Payments that are not successfully 3DS-authenticated are automatically rejected server-side and never marked paid, even if the acquirer reports success. This rule is enforced by our webhook processor.
  • Identity verification (KYC): every buyer must complete government-ID and liveness verification through Didit before a payment link becomes payable.
  • Signed customer agreement: every buyer must electronically sign the Finoment Customer Agreement after KYC and before paying. The signature, IP, user-agent, and timestamp are recorded and confirmed to the signer by email.
  • Sanctions screening: buyers from OFAC comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions (Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba) are blocked at signup.

4. What buyers receive

Every successful, 3DS-authenticated charge produces:

  • A branded digital receipt / invoice issued by Finoment LLC showing the invoice number, item description, amount, currency, date, and the Stripe payment-intent ID. The receipt is available in the buyer's dashboard and by direct download URL.
  • An automatic payment confirmation email containing the same identifiers.
  • An orders history in the buyer's Finoment account listing every attempt, its 3DS status, and the payment-intent ID for reconciliation.

5. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes

Refunds are processed by Finoment LLC back to the original card. Finoment is the sole counterparty for chargebacks — there is no downstream merchant. Full policy: Refund & Cancellation Policy.
